Why does "everyone" want to try on my new "Uggs"?

Ok, so ugg comes out with the clic tall for men in only one color and thats chestnut. I got them and wore em to school today as usual with my bootcut jeans over them (not tucked in like girls wear them). It seemed like everyone knew i had new Uggs. I wear a means size 8 so girls that wear a 9 fit into them and friends in my grade some are the same size. So girls and guys wanted to try em on. Why? I know some dont have Uggs but whats the big deal?
