Blood in my urine? please help..?

I had something similar happen once. I went to the bathroom and my stool and water seemed kind of purple-redish. Then later on that night went to pee and it came out the same weird color. I got nervous too then realized I had eaten a bunch of fresh beets, color dark purple. The next morning I was fine. Are you sure there isn't something you ate and forgot about?
