Is Los angeles' traffic worse than NYCs?

LA Traffic volume is comparable to NY, however, CA traffic is easier to navigate/take detours. Avoid the 405 freeway between 2:30pm and 730pm. Great thing about LA is that the city is organized pretty symmetrically so you can take different side streets to get to your destination. Make sure you travel with pengers so you can use the HOV lanes when possible. Some areas in LA require 3 or more pengers. Also look out for the Toll roads in Orange County. There are many toll freeways that require a p to travel along.
